Ongoing

  • The Open Space Strategy direct consultation with all community councils and associations and public consultation (including a series of drop-in events) will take place September-November. The point of contact is Rowena MacDougall on 01343 563265.
  • Police Scotland will be conducting a five-day clipboard survey in addition to their ongoing online engagement activities.
  • The Woodland Strategy draft strategy consultation will take place in September and October: point of contact is Emma Gordon on 01343 5633292.
  • The Children's Services Plan and Self-Directed Support consultations will be ongoing throughout the year. Points of contact are Anne Pendery (tel: 01343 56563400) for the former and Kathy Henwood (tel: 01343 563608) for the latter.
  • Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) will be holding their annual Local Development Officer Conference in September, in addition to conducting ongoing engagement with interest groups (e.g. social enterprises, small businesses, etc.)
  • Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) will be conducting consultation and engagement on their Strategic Plan and Local Fire and Rescue Plan from May to September.
  • The Skills Development Scotland (SDS) team in Elgin are planning a series of events to support people looking for work. One popup event will happen every month from March-December 2016.  Example planned events: CV tips; local labour market information; interview skills and employer updates.
  • The  Moray Council's Trading Standards team will be conducting ongoing engagement via their Twitter and Facebook accounts, and sending out customer surveys to get feedback on consumer advice, money advice and welfare benefits service users.
  • Ongoing activities will also be carried out for Regional Transport through a mix of formal written consultation and informal engagement with members of the public and/or community councils. For more information: Nichola Smith, 01343 563774.
